Acid Burned Dog Delivers 8 Puppies: all to die
Humble, Texas: Some monster burned this beautiful dog with acid. Mamasita wound up at the Humble Animal Control and delivered eight beautiful puppies. She is a great mom, trying to keep her babies safe. Sadly, the Humble Animal Control does not adopt out pit bulls. Humble is located a few miles north of Houston, Texas.
This tiny shelter does not have resources and backing, but tries very hard for the animals in their care. A dedicated officer built Mamasita a whelping box for her puppies.
The only chance Mamasita and her puppies have is to be pulled by a rescue group. Please share Mamasita’s story in hopes that she and her family can be rescued.

Two ‘artists’ in germany have decided it would be a good idea to murder a sheep with a guillotine. Or rather, to behead the sheep if enough people vote in favour of it on a poll on their website. Which is currently the case.
That’s right, currently the majority of people have voted to slaughter the sheep.
To end this twisted project and stop the unnecessary sacrifice of the poor animal, just vote ‘nein’ on the poll on their website.
And to read more about the issue, click here.
Please vote ‘nein,’ and reblog to spread the message.
Thank you.
Oxford’s Robin Dunbar (of the famous Dunbar’s number) has a new study out that uses mobile phone data to draw a picture of gender-based social structures in Western societies.
By analyzing billions of phone calls and text messages among men and women of various ages, he found that women primarily drive romantic relationships, and from a younger age than men. After about 15 years of a man filling the role of “best friend”, women appear to shift their primary social focus to a child (usually another female, and assumed to be a daughter).
None of this means that mothers prefer female children or that they lose interest in male partners, but rather argues that most relationships (husband-wife, parent-child) are driven by women, at least on a structural level. Men’s relationship styles seem to be much more casual and transient, according to phone use anyway.
Their model is a framework built around traditional heterosexual, child-bearing relationships, and while that doesn’t completely describe modern society, it’s a pretty useful model.
Does this mean that our society is much more matriarchal than we thought?

(They don’t grow like this naturally, unfortunately … the media they are eating causes each species to turn a different color for identification. But very pretty.)
